An end-to-end UX research project โ user interviews, usability testing, and a full product redesign of StudyWiser grounded in behavioral insights and real student feedback.
Redesign walkthrough โ StudyWiser UX Research & Redesign
As StudyWiser's founder, I had assumptions about what students needed. UX research revealed where the product's design wasn't matching actual student behavior and expectations.
Conducted structured user interviews and usability tests with real students, synthesized findings into design principles, and produced a full redesign informed by both behavioral science and user data.
A redesigned product with measurably improved task completion rates and user satisfaction โ informed by real research, not assumptions.
Good UX research starts before any design decisions are made. I structured the research in phases: first, generative interviews to understand how students actually study and what friction points they encounter; then evaluative usability tests with the existing StudyWiser product to find specific failure points.
My psychology background was directly useful here โ I knew how to write unbiased interview questions, how to avoid leading participants, and how to look for behavioral signals that users wouldn't self-report.
Add your specific findings here โ how many participants, what the key themes were, what surprised you.
